PART 1

  • The Holy Ark, which is draped with one or more Torah scrolls.
  • The Star of David, a six-pointed star, is frequently seen both inside and outside synagogues.

PART 2

  • The old temple's perpetual light, which symbolizes the light that guided the Hebrew people across the Sinai, is always kept lighted in front of the ark.
  • A reading table, sometimes on a stage, either at the front or in the center of the sanctuary, is known as the bimah.

PART 3

  • A replica of the Ten Commandments.
  • A special seat for the rabbi.
  • No images of God, since images are forbidden in the commandments.
