Beliefs

• Brit Milah - All Jewish males are circumcised on the eighth day following birth, if their health permits. The Brit Milah, a custom that dates back to Abraham's time, is a tangible representation of the Covenant.
• Bar and Bat Mitzvah - Jewish girls and boys reach their religious coming of age at the ages of twelve and thirteen, respectively. The Bar Mitzvah boy is called upon to recite the Torah portion and the reading from the Prophets for the first time on this particular day. Bat Mitzvah girls are also called upon to read from the Torah and the Prophets in communities where women assist in leading the ritual.

Torah contains this 10 Commandment of Judaism

1. Worship no other God but Me.
2. Do not make images to worship.
3. Do not misuse the name of God.
4. Observe the Sabbath Day (Saturday). Keep it Holy.
5. Honor and respect your father and mother.
6. Do not murder.
7. Do not commit adultery.
8. Do not steal.
9. Do not accuse anyone falsely. Do not tell lies about other people.
10. Do not envy others possessions.

• The home is where most Jewish religious observance takes place. This comprises the three daily prayers that are offered: in the morning, in the afternoon, and at sunset.
• A synagogue, a Jewish center of worship and study, is often where congregational prayers are held. Hebrew readings from the Torah and the Prophets are part of the synagogue service on Mondays, Thursdays, the Sabbath, holidays, and High Holy Days.
• A rabbi's professional responsibilities may include leading weekly or daily study sessions for the congregation's members. The rabbi might also be asked for advice on how Jewish religious law and tradition should be applied to daily living. The resolution of interpersonal disputes may fall under this. A beit din, a local Jewish religious court, is consulted for more serious problems like religious divorce.
